100 years after the 1926 Report and Recommendations on Park Extension for Baltimore: The Olmsteds Legacy, Then and Now
Explore how Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. expanded his father’s vision, elevating parks, greenways, and open space as essential elements of thoughtful city planning. Jack Sullivan, FASLA, PLA, Associate Professor, Emeritus from the University of Maryland will highlight the legacy while examining how Baltimore and other cities have changed since 1926, from the impact of the interstate highway system to the transformation of industrial waterfronts into vibrant public spaces.
Event is free and light refreshments will be provided. The FMOPL Board will also provide guest a hardcopy of the report to take home.
